Through interviews by phone calls, Mrs. Siti Fatimah Abdul Ghani, Senior Psychologist, Human Resource Services Division, of the Registrar's Office UPM reviews the needs of the Women Support System for helping women in distress whether it is working women or housewife. Through her commentary, Siti Fatimah emphasized the need to create a special Committee or a comprehensive workforce among professionals and counseling practitioners as a support for the National Women's Policy. The intended support system should be formed from the grassroots level, starting from the village, district, state and country levels in empowering women through the four main dimensions of Psychology, Emotion, Spiritual and Social.
Siti Fatimah stressed that a balanced, emotionally-conscious woman definitely shaped the thinking and behavior that is smart, fit and competitive. Psychological and emotional support is crucial in generating progressive, healthy and productive women in the face of global challenges and increasingly challenging social environment.
