Roles and Responsibilities of UPM Staff

STAFF ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

AS A LEADER
As leaders, staff should show the following characteristics:

  1. Form and guide his subordinates towards successfully achieving the vision, mission and goals of the university
  2. Brings the group together by acting as a referent, mediator, advisor, friend, patient listener, etc.
  3. Creating a comfortable atmosphere to enable the people being led to produce the best and most excellent service possible
  4. Plan, supervise and evaluate the performance of tasks assigned to members of the organization; manage resources (human, financial and equipment) efficiently and effectively
  5. Be able to make decisions and solve problems effectively in any issue addressed
  6. Facilitate communication among organizational members by considering appropriate and effective information channel methods
 

AS A WORKER
As employees, staff must display the following traits:

  1. Focus on producing work in line with the vision, mission and goals of the university
  2. Realizing the demands, trust, duties and responsibilities in the organization
  3. Always try to find, understand, appreciate, practice and spread knowledge and be devoted to developing society with that knowledge
  4. Always strive to be the best employee
  5. Always implement, repair and be committed to improving service quality
  6. Always share information for the common good
 

AS AN EDUCATOR
As educators, academic staff need to accentuate these attitudes:

  1. Demonstrate high commitment and discipline towards teaching and learning tasks
  2. Has a high level of knowledge in the field he teaches
  3. Prepare teaching materials in a well-planned, neat manner and always update teaching materials according to the latest developments
  4. Implement an effective approach in teaching that can increase student understanding and interest
  5. Always interact in a friendly and positive manner and always be ready to help students with learning problems
  6. Contribute ideas and thoughts towards curriculum modernization
  7. Guiding young academics towards strengthening and improving the quality of their teaching

 

AS A RESEARCHER
As researchers, staff have to unveil these attitude scales:

  1. Conduct research in areas of priority and potential / have commercial value
  2. Produce research results that have an impact on his field of expertise and national development and have the potential to be recognized as world-class research
  3. Able to produce publications in foremost journals at national and international
  4. Able to produce research for the development of knowledge.
