In producing high performance talent among staff, training is one of the most important processes for an organization. The Public Sector Human Resource Policy outlines that the objective of the training is to provide qualified, highly capable and competent staff to produce quality work, productivity, pure values and positive attitudes, creating value and value added in the public sector and provide the direction of staff career progress (Service Circular No. 6 of 2005).
As a Public University, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) provides training to improve the quality of delivery, to realizing the goal of achieving excellence in the field of teaching and learning, research and professional services at all levels whether new or experienced staff. The training is also able to give rise to a new spikes towards knowledge and lifelong learning and to enhance and value the knowledge, strengthen work skills, change attitudes and strengthen KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Attitude) among UPM staff.
