SUCCESSION PLANNING SECTION

Introduction

This section plays a part in planning succession for strategic positions using systematic methods. The Replacement Plan section was created effective April 1, 2017.

 

Function and Role:

  1. Identify and evaluate the potential talent of potential academic leaders and administrators with high potential to fill strategic positions;
     
  2. Bridging the talent competency gap with strategic position competence;
     
  3. Ensuring the continuity of leadership in UPM and maintaining the potential of high potential leaders to continue to serve UPM;
     
  4. Ensuring that the search for outside officers of UPM for strategic positions is only considered after there is no suitable and qualified internal candidate and;
     
  5. Ensure PTJ leadership is service-oriented and administered by the administrator and reduces the dependency on appointment of academic staff leading PTJ instead of academic entities.
