PROMOTION

Introduction

Promotion Section is part of the structure of the Human Resources Division, Registrar's Office. The role is to plan, manage and monitor all activities related to the promiton of staff in Universiti Putra Malaysia covers Serdang Campus and also Bintulu Campus.

Fuctions of the Promotion Section

The functins of the section are:-

  1. Control and manage all promotion that includes various positions for Academic Staff, Non-Academic Staff includes Language Instructior and also Management and Professional Group and Support Group;
  2. To ensure all promotional documents submitted by the applicant issufficient for the Selection Committee Meeting;
  3. To ensure and verify each applicant has passed the minimum requirements;
  4. Issue a letter of notification to the applicants for the results of the applications based on Client Charter;
  5. To prepare and conduct of the Selection Committee Meeting

Minimum Qualification for Promotion

All staff are qualified to be considered for a promotion to a related higher scheme after :-

  1. Have been confirmed in their service;
  2. Have achieved the determined perfomance;
  3. Have achieved not less than 80% in their Annual Performance Appraisal in the recent 3 years;
  4. Must attain a minimum of 80% in the Criteria and Scoremarks for promotion;
  5. Have been endorsed by the Dean/Head of Department;
  6. Special assessments (if required) to be determined by the Appointing Authority
